What You Just Walked
There is an ancient story.
The Hero's Journey.
You have heard it a thousand times.
Go out.
Face the dragon.
Conquer.
Return with the treasure.
Add to who you are.
Become someone new.
That is not what you just walked.
You walked the Contrarian Hero's Journey.
Twelve movements.
Twelve masks.
Twelve homecomings.
You did not go out.
You came Home.
You did not conquer.
You recognized.
You did not add.
You subtracted.
You did not become someone new.
You remembered who you always were.
The dragon was not outside.
The dragon was the masks.
The treasure was not somewhere far.
The treasure was beneath the masks — waiting.
This is the Way of the Freedom Warrior.
Not addition. Subtraction.
Not construction. Excavation.
Not becoming. Returning.
You have walked the path few choose to walk.
Inward, not outward.
Home, not away.
And now you know:
The hero's journey was never about finding something new.
It was about coming Home to what was never lost.
