Tuesday, 2:00 pm.
A day of discovery.
Athena feels full of energy.
She is again standing at the window,
overlooking the park.
A gentle breeze.
A clear sky.
Swallows flying around playfully.
She remembers the many times
she stood at this window,
wondering how to find
the best way forward.
With her family life.
And with her business.
Now, after her own reflections,
conversations with Victor, her husband,
Conrad, the family friend,
and Mary, her assistant,
she feels the energy returning.
The confidence too.
She realizes she is not alone.
She does not have to find
all the answers by herself.
She smiles.
While gathering some printouts,
she decides to go already
to the conference room.
She will meet Mary there.
…
Exactly at 2:30 pm,
Mary enters.
She is surprised to see
Athena already there.
“Mary, let’s mark this afternoon
as a new beginning.
And I believe, together,
we will discover many more.”
Athena starts.
Mary loves what she is hearing.
She feels the positive energy
in the room.
“Can I suggest where we start?”
Mary asks.
“Of course.”
Athena likes the initiative.
“Yesterday evening,” Mary says,
“Conrad sent this description
of the Freedom Warriors Way.
Shall we have a look?”
…
The Freedom Warriors Way
is a methodology for creating
your life and organization—
from vision,
to action,
to daily practice—
while feeling good about
who you are
and what you create.
…
Athena and Mary remain in silence.
Taking in
and pondering
what they have just read.
Athena stands up
and paces the room.
Mary is deep in thought.
…
“Mary… let’s see if we both understand
the depth
and practicality of this.
It is a methodology.
Not a belief.
Not a philosophy alone.
It is a practical path
you can walk,
step by step.
It bridges the personal
and the organizational.
There is no separation.
The same principles,
the same methodology,
apply to both.
You do not have to be
two different people.
No.
I see it as complete.
The full arc.
Effect to cause.
Seeing what you want.
Doing what it takes.
Sustaining it through rhythm.
Not just dreaming.
Not just doing.
Both, held together.
And then, the experience.
Feeling good about who you are
and what you create.
This is the heart.
The sustainable experience.”
…
Mary’s eyes are shining.
It is all coming together.
She has just started
her daily HOPE_A practice.
Yet, with this description
of the Freedom Warriors Way,
she begins to see
the connections.
…
“You know, Athena,” Mary says,
“I just started the daily practice.
HOPE_A…
the instrument of the Way.
It is becoming so much clearer to me.
I now see that we create our day.
We create how we live our day.
The outcomes.
What we feel.
And how we feel about it.”
…
Athena starts pacing again.
She senses possibilities.
Opportunities.
She imagines the family dinner
tomorrow evening.
And she would love
to discover more before then.
She feels positivity.
And, at the same time,
a rush of impatience.
She knows she needs to pause.
…
“Mary, shall we clear our agendas
for tomorrow afternoon?
I would love you to explain
HOPE_A,
and how you see
we can use it
here in our company as well.”
“Of course,” Mary says,
with great enthusiasm.
…
They agree on the time.
Then they go through
some pending issues.
Back in her office,
Athena stands looking outside.
The sky looks even brighter now.
And she thinks:
“Mary is right.
What a discovery…
We are all creators.”
